Thesis topic:

Sustainability of food production

In her research, focuses on sustainability of food production and Life Cycle Assessment. It also studies the links between environmental impacts and the health implications of eating habits.

Today, the intake of certain foods has been associated with a significant increase in the risk of disease onset, such as the consumption of processed red meat in connection with colorectal cancer. In times of climate change, our dietary preferences take on even another dimension. Immense environmental impacts are associated with food production, and the transition to more sustainable food systems is inevitable. Anna focuses on the health and environmental risks and benefits associated with consuming certain foods. At UCT Prague, she also co-founded the Sustainable society @udrzitelnaspolecnost together with her colleagues.

Other area of interest:

MiscanValue project - Value chain for the use of Miscanthus fibers of sustainable production on marginal and post-mining soils.
