Thesis topic:
PhD thesis: 'The potential of industrial symbiosis to mitigate environmental impacts'
The thesis focuses on the concept of industrial symbiosis in the Czech Republic. What industries have the greatest potential to mitigate environmental impacts in terms of material and energy flow exchange? Which flow exchanges are most advantageous and what are the barriers? The research also includes the development of an interactive online platform PruSym, which aims to monitor waste production in the Czech Republic and to enable quick environmental modelling of alternative waste management methods. Pilot version of the platform (only in Czech language) available at https://prusym.wz.cz/
