Ongoing projects:
The National Center of Competence PolyEnvi21
Provider: TAČR
Project number: TN02000051
Period of the project: 1. 1. 2023 – 31. 12. 2028
The Institute of Chemical Technology Prague is a co-investigator of the National Competence Center PolyEnvi21, co-financed with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic within the framework of the National Competence Center Program.
The National Competence Center for Polymer Materials and Technologies for the 21st Century, the PolyEnvi21 Competence Center, focuses on the development of new polymer systems that take into account sustainable development goals, practical applicability and economic competitiveness. The key competence of PolyEnvi21 is the area of mechanical, chemical and biological recycling of polymer materials, including related processes. Significant attention is paid to the comprehensive concept of the developed solutions for fulfilling the principles of the circular economy.
The main objectives of PolyEnvi21 are to improve waste management, including positive impacts on national climate and other environmental goals, improve the security of material supplies and reduce dependence on sources of materials imported from countries outside the EU, increase the competitiveness of enterprises and reduce fossil fuel consumption.
List of sub-projects in which members of the institute are researchers:
- DP 001N Polymer marking system for a digitalized waste sorting system
- DP 009 Technology for processing sludge from plastic recycling
- DP 012 Biopolymers for agrochemical applications (BioAgro)
