Thesis topic:

“Use of an interactive online platform for the development of industrial symbiosis in the Czech Republic”

The production of industrial waste and its subsequent management have a clear impact on the environment. This is one of the reasons why within the framework of the circular economy the concept of industrial symbiosis is being developed, which aims to connect individual industrial entities through the exchange of material and energy flows. Part of my dissertation is the creation of the “PruSym” platform, which would monitor the generation of waste and secondary products in the Czech Republic in a map environment and provide information about their properties and possibilities of use. The aim of the platform is also to enable producers and consumers of industrial waste to model the environmental impacts of various methods of handling the given materials, including their transport. When fully operational, the platform would facilitate the interconnection of individual industrial entities and contribute to the development of industrial symbiosis in the Czech Republic.
