Participatory Imagination Workshop on a Sustainable Future

On November 28, 2023, the Institute of Sustainability and Product Ecology hosted a participatory imagination workshop on the sustainable future of UCT Prague. Utilizing the principles of a futures workshop, which involves participatory mapping and the design of potential future scenarios, participants co-formulated a scenario for the sustainable future of our university. Under the guidance of facilitators, participants first worked individually and then in groups to create a vision and description of the ideal sustainable operations of UCT Prague in the near future. These individual visions were discussed with other attendees, subsequently leading to the joint formulation of overall consensus visions. The outcomes were compiled into statements and categorized into six areas of institutional operations. The workshop outputs will serve as one of the inputs for the upcoming UCT Prague Sustainability Strategy.
