Partnership

SUPRE collaborates with industry, public administration and the academic sector in addressing tasks where it is necessary to integrate technical data, analysis and decision-making. We understand collaboration as joint work on a specific problem – from its understanding through to the design of a solution that is feasible in practice.

Collaboration with industry

We work with companies on evaluating and comparing technological variants, optimising manufacturing processes and preparing investment decisions. We help convert data on materials, energy and emissions into evidence that enables the selection of appropriate technological solutions. The involvement of industrial partners is also important for testing methods in real-world operations.

Public administration and strategic decision-making

For public administration, we prepare analyses that serve as evidence for policy development, strategy formulation and the creation of regulatory tools. We focus on assessing the impacts of technological and systemic changes, for example in the fields of energy, waste management or resource utilisation. We place emphasis on transparency and clarity of outputs.

Academic and international collaboration

We collaborate with universities and research institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad. Involvement in international projects allows us to share methods, data and experience and to develop new approaches in the fields of life cycle assessment, material flow analysis and the sustainability of technological systems.

Transfer of results to practice

An important part of collaboration is the conversion of analytical outputs into concrete applications. We participate in the implementation of new technologies, assessment of their impacts and the establishment of processes that enable long-term management based on data. Companies use the results in production management and in communication with customers and regulators.

Education and knowledge sharing

Collaboration also includes education and the development of professional capacity. We participate in teaching, professional courses and training for practice. We convey methodological approaches and experience in their application so that data and analyses can be used outside the research environment as well.

Collaboration at SUPRE is based on a combination of technical understanding, analytical methods and the ability to convert results into decision-making. The aim is not to deliver a study, but to jointly find a solution that will stand up in real-world operations.

International collaboration

SUPRE is part of international research networks that connect universities, research organisations and industrial partners across Europe and beyond. Collaboration takes place within international projects and long-term partnerships and focuses on addressing technological and environmental challenges in a real industrial and societal context.

We collaborate with technical universities and research institutions that are among the leading European partners in the fields of materials, energy, water management and industrial technologies. Our partners include, for example, research teams from Germany, Sweden, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, Greece and Poland, as well as institutions from Australia, Brazil and South Africa.

Industrial partners also play an important role in international collaboration, as they enable us to test research approaches in practice. We collaborate with companies in the fields of metallurgy, chemical industry, energy and materials processing, which allows us to integrate research with real technological applications.

Thematic focus of collaboration

International projects in which SUPRE is involved cover a broad spectrum of topics:

  • utilisation of primary and secondary raw materials and their circulation in industry
  • new materials and their applications in technological systems
  • water management and decentralised solutions
  • energy systems and new energy sources
  • assessment of the impacts of technologies across their entire life cycle

Collaboration takes place both at the level of fundamental research and in the application of results in industrial practice. Emphasis is placed on the sharing of data, methods and experience that enable the comparison of technological solutions in different geographical and economic conditions.

SUPRE's role in international projects

SUPRE plays the role of both partner and coordinator in international projects. It brings expertise particularly in the fields of life cycle assessment, analysis of material and energy flows and the interpretation of results for decision-making. Through this, it contributes to the integration of technical development with its environmental and systemic assessment.

International collaboration enables SUPRE to work with diverse technologies, data and approaches and to test results in a broader context. It also provides the opportunity to transfer experience between different countries and to contribute to the development of solutions that will be viable on a global scale.
